Immersion at the heart of the BARNES seminar: two days of inspiration and cohesion in Vaujany
Teams from BARNES Lyon, Portes du Soleil and Léman branches came together for an exceptional seminar in Vaujany, a charming resort nestled in the heart of the Oisans region. The event was marked by inspiring conferences, mountain activities and enriching exchanges.
Vaujany: an authentic setting in the heart of the Alps
Situated at an altitude of 1250 meters, Vaujany is a ski resort on a human scale, with direct access to the Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine ski area. It offers spectacular panoramic views of the snow-covered massifs and a peaceful setting, far from overcrowded resorts. It was in this privileged location that BARNES chose to hold its annual seminar, a judicious choice that reflects the company's spirit of excellence and authenticity.
Conferences with meaning and ambition
Thomas Vantorre, President of BARNES, opened the session with a retrospective of the year 2024, followed by Julie Coppel and Clément Nique from BARNES Portes du Soleil, and Paula Reyes, Marketing Manager. Together, they outlined the ambitions and strategic directions for 2025, inviting everyone to mobilize to meet the challenges ahead.
The highlight of the morning was a talk by Peggy Bouchet, explorer and first woman to row across the Atlantic Ocean. Her poignant and inspiring account, marked by extreme physical and mental hardship, captured the audience's attention. Peggy Bouchet shared the life lessons she learned from her adventure: perseverance, dealing with adversity and the importance of staying true to one's goals. With anecdotes that were both moving and captivating, she provided a real motivational boost, illustrating how resilience can overcome the greatest obstacles.
Another notable speaker was Marine Perruchot, Head of Offer and Animation at Caisse d'Épargne Rhône Alpes, who took stock of the current situation and presented the banking outlook for 2025.
To the rhythm of the mountains
The teams shared lunch with Peggy Bouchet, who took the time to chat with each participant, and the afternoon was devoted to an outdoor activity. Equipped with snowshoes, the participants hiked a snow-covered trail some 4 kilometers long, supervised by enthusiastic guides. The walk, punctuated by informal discussions and breathtaking panoramas, ended in a fairytale atmosphere by the light of headlamps.
A seminar in the image of BARNES
This seminar in Vaujany perfectly illustrated the BARNES values: excellence, team spirit and surpassing oneself. In an authentic and inspiring setting, employees left recharged with energy and ready to take on the challenges of 2025, strengthened by the messages and experiences they had shared together.
